Brushing is one of the activities that wherein we can reduce the chances of having plaque and tartar. Did you know that there is a proper way of brushing the teeth? It is important to know these things for the smile is what we can give to people . but this can only depend on how well we take care of your mouth.

There is a good technique in brushing the teeth. The toothbrush must be held at an angle so it can fit and move freely in your mouth. Brushing should have a gentle action. The movement must be back and forth. If you put too much pressure while brushing, you might damage the outer layer of the teeth as well as the gums that support the teeth. Infection may occur if the gums are hurt. Not only should the front part of the teeth be brushed. It is also important that the back parts are thoroughly cleansed too.

Brushing should be done daily. The most prefer erred time to do it is every after meal. The point here is to brush the teeth thoroughly. You need not have to vigorously brush your teeth as if you are in a drag race.

When brushing, be sure that you are using the right equipment. These are toothpaste with fluoride and soft-bristled toothbrush. Toothbrushes have shell lives as well. Know when they are to be replaced which is normally 3-4 months.

Brushing alone just cannot remove ll the dirt in your mouth. Another way to clean the mouth is through flossing. What’s the great way about this is that it can clean even the tightest of spaces, somewhere that the tooth cannot reach.

Another way to clean the teeth is to use mouth rinse after very brushing or flossing.

Brushing properly after every meal and especially before going to bed avoids plague to accumulate in jaws. Use mouth fresheners and mouth washes like Listerine to avoid bad breath and plague. These oral washes help killing the bacteria which try to accumulate in pockets between gums. Brush at least for four to five minutes and same applies for flossing.

Oral hygiene: Poor and improper oral hygiene is the cause of gingivitis. The therapy for gingivitis must work for you and your lifestyle. Dental surgeon must be referred, as they suggest best cure for plague and gingivitis. Many juvenile persons suffer from tooth dieses like gingivitis, bad odor and bleeding gums. The early stages of gingivitis are easy to control and it can be removed. Root planning and scaling are the best ways to cure bleeding gums and painful jaws.

Continuous teeth care: Assign regular checkups or at least four to five times a month. The dentist sets up a complete schedule of persistent brushing, flossing and oral hygiene. Use doctors recommended brushes and toothpastes. Many dentists refer to use round or electric brushes and fluoride pastes to avoid plague accumulation in teeth gaps. Mouthwashes and anti bacterial wash can also be used to avoid bacterium growth. Doxycycline is a string antibiotic used to treat gingivitis and it slow down the recession of gums and stops bleeding.
